A touch of dyeing

It’s been a bit quiet here on the blog as I try and put the house back together after KCW. Bathrooms have been scrubbed, floors vacuumed and mopped. To be honest, it was all quite overdue and I’m glad to have got it done.

After last week’s sewing, I’ve taken a break from my sewing machine and have been back at the dye pot again, this time playing with some professional acid dyes. I’m well and truly addicted. How could you not be?

skeinsendI’ve started using Ashford acid dyes and these skeins, which I dyed last month, are hand painted. I’ve been kettle dyeing this week, and am just about to reskein these latest dye jobs up. I will try and photograph them tomorrow.

This week I’ve cast on another baby cardigan to see how my yarn knits up. It’s certainly bright!
