I’ve completed more of my Christmas sewing. I procrastinated over starting this project for ages before I managed to cut any fabric. It started as a seed of an idea, and took quite a few sketches until I was happy with the general design.
I wanted to produce a holder for textas and a pad of paper as a present for a 4 1/2 year old boy who likes to draw. My idea was to make something his mother can throw into her handbag to keep him entertained when they are out.
I based my construction on a tutorial I found on Skip to My Lou with a few tweaks here and there. Next time I make one (and I’m sure there will be a next time) I’ll add a layer of batting to the cover and make the slots for the textas a little wider.
I really hope he likes it, and that it buys his mother a few uninterrupted coffees with friends!
